Mental illness can affect people of all ages, at any time in their lives. An estimated 1 in 5 U.S. adults will experience a mental health problem every year. The good news is there are effective treatments, and recovery is possible! Mental illness is real illness, it is not a sign of weakness. Recovering from a mental illness is not simply a matter of willpower or self-discipline. It often takes a variety of resources and supports, which High Plains Mental Health Center proudly provides to the residents of Northwest Kansas.
