Recovery Specialist/Case Manager (Goodland)

Summary Description: Recovery Workers help with much of the day-to-day business of caring for clients at High Plains Mental Health Center. Job tasks include providing transportation, helping with children’s groups and working one-on-one with individuals in the 24-hour Schwaller Crisis Center. This is a great job for students who are considering a career in mental health, but it is also an excellent job for retired individuals who are willing to help and make some extra money. Hours are flexible with a limit of 28 hours per week.

Summary Description: The Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) Therapist is part a larger team that responds to acute mental health and related crises in the community to prevent crises from becoming emergencies.  The overall goal of the team is to reduce use of emergency rooms, inpatient hospital stays, and other harmful behaviors. The position will require the ability to work a flexible schedule which includes after hours work and be expected to respond to critical incidents and work with community partners as needed. Travel will be required.

    High Plains Mental Health Center is currently looking for a full-time Outpatient Therapist – QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) based out of Hays and to travel to Colby/Goodland Branch Offices with a company provided vehicle.

    Customer Service/Medical Records Assistant

    Looking to be a part of a great team? High Plains Mental Health Center is seeking a highly motivated, friendly face to be our next Customer Service/ Medical Records Assistant.

     Our Customer Service/ Medical Records Assistants provide support services for Hays staff, greet clients in a courteous manner, help organize schedules and activities, and maintains client records.

    Position Hours: Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., rotating Mondays noon to 9 p.m.

    Summary Description:
    Provides a variety of support services for the office staff. Assists with new patient processing, including triages. Greets patients and public in a pleasant and courteous manner. Provides efficient organization of schedules and activities. Follows established procedures to maintain quality patient records. Processes release of records to, and request of records from, outside agencies. Reconciling cash drawers and preparing daily deposit. Provides other support staff duties upon request, such as processing mail. Works assigned schedule, which may include a Monday evening in rotation with other staff.
