COVID-19 IMPORTANT UPDATE: High Plains Mental Health Center is pleased to announce services are available in-person or via telehealth. This is effective at the Hays main office, our five full-time branch office locations and most part-time Community Outreach Offices. Out of respect for the comfort and sense of well-being of those in our facilities and receiving health care services amid the Covid-19 pandemic, we ask all staff, clients and visitors to please wear facial coverings while inside our facilities. Disposable masks will be available for your convenience.
Services also continue to be available by telephone or Zoom video conference for those who feel more comfortable at home. Clients are encouraged to confirm coverage for telehealth appointments with their insurance provider or call High Plains Mental Health Center for further information.

Additionally, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline can be accessed by calling 1-800-273-8255 or texting to 741741. In addition, we are proud to offer free, enhanced access to 7 Cups of Tea, an online emotional wellness tool. REMINDER CALLS: Beginning Monday, July 27, High Plains Mental Health Center will begin automated reminder calls to confirm client appointments. Clients can expect to receive a phone call three business days before their appointment, at which time they will be given the opportunity to confirm or cancel the appointment. Clients can also request a call back from our staff the next business day. Clients will receive a reminder text message one business day before their scheduled appointments. This process will apply to all appointments scheduled for outpatient therapy, medication services, substance use disorder treatment, and entries for new clients. We appreciate your cooperation as we work to improve our scheduling process and enhance client care.
